I've witnessed this first hand as most of you who live in the inter mountain west have also. For the past two summers I have cut down dozens upon dozens of beetle kill trees in the Uintas. We are losing our forests right before our eyes. This is a great peek into what is happening and what a group of dedicated outdoorsmen and women are doing to try and make a difference. We all have something to learn from them.

Stokes Nature Center

Stokes Nature Center, Logan Utah is in the process of developing a new nature center in Logan canyon. In order to raise interest and excitement for the project I was asked to develop several 3D renderings of proposed building and parking layout. Revealed at the annual benefit dinner, the response was very positive for the projects future!

3D visualization and rendering

Over the past couple of years I have been going to school for Landscape Architecture at Utah State University. Landscape Architects and designers are very capable of designing and envisioning the end product of their design in plan view. This is what we have been trained to do. What many people struggle with is the ability to visualize these 2D plans in the third dimension. Clients are able to better understand the designers intent when shown in 3D. This blogs purpose is to show the power that 3D modeling and rendering can have on Landscape Architects and designers work.
